Michael N. Groeschen, MD

Michael Groeschen, MD is a physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Hospitalist/Nocturnists who specializes in providing inpatient care at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn.

Dr. Groeschen’s passion for medicine comes from an interest in science and a commitment to helping others. He drew inspiration to pursue his career from his experience in a patient-facing role before becoming a physician. “I saw firsthand the impact that physicians have on patients and their families,” he says. “This inspired me to want to play a more direct role in improving others’ health and quality of life.”

He strives to create a compassionate environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their health concerns. “The best outcomes come from working together,” he says, “combining the latest medical knowledge with each patient's unique needs.” He believes patients should feel empowered to take an active role in determining their own health journey.

Dr. Groeschen earned a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Molecular Biology from the University of Louisville, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at The Christ Hospital Health Network.

He is an avid fan of all Cincinnati sports teams and enjoys attending games with his family and friends. He participates in weekly trivia and sand volleyball, and he also enjoys spending free time at home with his fiancée, his husky and his cat.
