Robens S. Rodney, PA-C

Robens Rodney, PA, is a physician assistant with The Christ Hospital, caring for patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.

“I believe good medicine is the combination of clinicians being grounded and growing in science while staying wholly committed to their patients,” Robens says. “Listening extensively and extended conversation are where I can connect with patients, gain trust, and gather all the clinically relevant information we need for treatment plans.”

Medicine has been a lifelong calling for Robens. His passion for his career has grown since his first role as a neuroscience research assistant in Stony Brook, New York, and later as a medical scribe, working as part of the patient care team to capture important details of their medical history and treatment.

Robens earned a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology at Stony Brook University and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center, where he earned academic and clinical honors. While at SUNY, he was the winner of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants Medical Jeopardy tournament, a competition for the organization’s sharpest student members.

Robens is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American College of Cardiology.

Outside of medicine, Robens and his wife are big foodies. They also enjoy road trips, biking, and staying active with their church community.
