Sandra Hughes, CNP, is a certified nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular who provides inpatient care with Clinical Cardiology at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn.
Sandra is passionate about providing the highest level of professional care for her patients, and she believes that open, two-way communication is the key to providing that care. “I strive to educate patients so that they can take control of their own health and physical wellbeing and make informed decisions,” she says.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in Alabama and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Northern Kentucky University. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
When not providing care, she enjoys camping with her husband and children. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, watching football, and hiking.
