Shonna earned her Dual Degree Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Georgetown College and University of Kentucky in 1999. She began working at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY as a Medicine ICU Registered Nurse (RN) in 1999 and then held other roles as a Registered Nurse in Michigan. Shonna obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from Oakland University in 2006 and began her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Crittenton Hospital Medical Center in Rochester, MI. She has since returned to the state of Kentucky to continue practicing in family practice, acute care facilities, and retail clinics. She serves the employees and dependents of Atkins & Pearce. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with an interest in annual physicals, immunizations, primary care, sports physicals, and wellness and prevention. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her 3 boys and being outdoors.
