Dr. Sakya was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by the opportunity to help people who are facing health challenges. “Seeing how medical care can profoundly impact a person’s health, quality of life, and peace of mind motivated me to dedicate my career to serving others,” he says. “I was drawn to the combination of science, problem-solving, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients.”
He realizes that many dermatological conditions can impact not only a person’s physical health, but also their confidence and quality of life, so he approaches care with a commitment to creating a comfortable and trusting environment where patients feel safe sharing their concerns and vulnerabilities.
Dr. Sakya earned a Bachelor of Science in physiology and neurobiology from the University of Connecticut and his Medical Degree from the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. He completed his residency in dermatology at Wright State Dermatology. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and he is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Ohio Dermatological Association.
