Syed Ahmed, DO is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care who specializes in family medicine. He provides care to patients of all ages at the Mason location.
Dr. Ahmed was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by his father, who worked as a physician in rural Arizona. The foundation of his care is to approach it as a team effort between patient and provider. “Healthcare isn’t just a doctor telling a patient what to do,” he says. “It’s about working together to make a sustainable impact for a happier and healthier life.”
He advocates for the importance of patience and persistence when working toward sustainable health improvements. “Small changes over time can lead to remarkable results,” he says. “Don’t allow yourself to be discouraged by a seeming lack of progress or results. It takes time.”
Dr. Ahmed earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from West Texas A&M University, and both a Master of Science in biomedical science and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in family medicine at Wright State University. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
When not providing care, Dr. Ahmed values spending time with is wife and son and taking care of their two “very chaotic” cats. He also enjoys cooking, reading, and gaming.
