Tatiana Kozin, MD is a physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Primary Care who specializes in Family Medicine. She provides care for patients of all ages at the Rookwood location.
Dr. Kozin developed an interest in human anatomy and the body’s complexities from health education classes in middle school. That fascination stuck with her as she pursued an undergrad degree in sports medicine with a pre-medical curriculum. Years later, she was inspired by the care provided to her foster daughter by two exceptional female physicians, an experience that reignited her passion for medicine and inspired her to pursue a career as a physician. “It was an inspiration to watch them not only provide outstanding medical care to my foster daughter,” she says, “but also compassion, advocacy, and genuine human connection.”
She provides patient-centered care with a strong focus on treating the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. He holds a strong belief that every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, respect, and understanding. She wants each patient to feel valued, heard, and supported so she can combine her own expertise and evidence-based treatments with each individual’s values, goals, and choices.
Dr. Kozin encourages her patients to view their care as a journey and to recognize and celebrate progress along the way and to not be discouraged by setbacks along the way that are a natural part of the healing process. She believes that every step, no matter how small, is an opportunity to learn, grow, and continue toward greater health and well-being.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University and her Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed a residency with The Christ Hospital & University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency Program, where she was honored with The Southwestern Ohio Society of Family Physicians’ Kenneth A. Frederick, MD, Award, which is given to the physician(s) whose ideals of Family Medicine and attributes include a sincere interest in people and a sense of responsibility for the ongoing-care of the individual and family, and enthusiasm for continued learning and interest in community service.
Dr. Kozin is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Association of Family Practitioners, and the Street Medicine Institute.
In her free time, Dr. Kozin loves spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Honey. She also enjoys dancing, particularly Argentine Tango, and exploring new restaurants around Greater Cincinnati. She is a native of California, and she cherishes opportunities to reconnect with friends and family while enjoying the beauty of her home state.
