With bundled services, you pay one fixed cost for a complete episode of care, such as a hip or knee replacement. We determine pricing in advance based on expected costs. That means no surprises or hidden fees.

Bundled services are part of our Centers of Excellence. We thoughtfully design each Center of Excellence to deliver exceptional outcomes, cost-effective care and an outstanding patient experience. Joint and spine services are a key focus of this program.

Meet Our Nurse Navigators

Karen Gillespie, RN, BSN, ONC, Joint Care Nurse Navigator

Karen Gillespie has more than 28 years of experience as an orthopedic nurse, holding roles as a staff nurse, assistant manager and case manager. After graduating from The Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Xavier University in 1991. She became certified as an orthopedic nurse in 1994.

Karen currently serves as treasurer of the Greater Cincinnati chapter of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses. She is involved with the Arthritis Foundation as a member of the Jingle Bell Run committee.

Sandy Sparling, Spine Care Nurse Navigator

Sandy Sparling has been a registered nurse at The Christ Hospital for more than 35 years. Most recently, she served as a pain management nurse for eight years, following 22 years in the Same Day Surgery department.

Sandy graduated from The Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences in 1986 and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2013. She holds certifications in pain management (PMGT-BC) and ambulatory perianesthesia (CAPA). She is an active member of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) at both the national and state levels (OPANA).

Outside of her clinical work, Sandy has volunteered with the Arthritis Foundation’s Walk to Cure Arthritis and participated in the Conquer Chiari Walk.
