Overview
Thank you for your interest in our program! Our website includes specifics about our program and what you can expect as a PGY2 Ambulatory Care resident. You will have the opportunity to work with pharmacist preceptors in the ambulatory care setting as well as providers, staff, social workers, care managers, behavioral health consultants, and specialists to help improve patient outcomes in the outpatient clinics.
We have almost 40 primary care physician offices across Greater Cincinnati, and each have pharmacist coverage. You will have the opportunity to learn from many ambulatory care pharmacist preceptors and work in a variety of outpatient settings during the year to further develop their skills. I am confident that our program will provide many opportunities to the resident to become a well-rounded and independent ambulatory care pharmacist. We had our first resident start this past year and are currently a candidate status program. Our program is undergoing ASHP accreditation in Spring 2026 and we plan to be fully accredited after this time.
If you have any questions, please contact me directly. Best of luck in your residency search!
Sincerely,
Emily Pierson, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP
