Obstetric Services
It's a good idea to see an obstetrician if you’re planning to become pregnant to ensure the healthiest pregnancy possible. You then see your obstetrician while you’re pregnant.
Obstetricians also offer postpartum care until about six weeks after delivery.
Nitrous Oxide for Increased Comfort
Some of our OB/GYN offices offer nitrous oxide to give you safe and short-term relief from pain and anxiety for certain gynecologic exams and procedures. Nitrous oxide is especially beneficial if you’ve experienced trauma and have difficulty with regular pelvic exams.
You’re able to drive 15 minutes after receiving nitrous oxide because it’s fast acting and leaves the body quickly. It’s only activated when you take a deep breath through a mask, which goes over your mouth.
Nitrous oxide is currently not covered by most insurance but is affordable and an eligible expense for HSA and FSA funds. Check with your doctor’s office about cost, and which procedures and exams are eligible.
