Stages of Pregnancy
When you hear the exciting news that you are expecting a baby, you are filled with questions about what to expect and how you should be caring for yourself and your baby.
First Trimester
During the first trimester, your doctor can help you navigate the significant physical and emotional changes you face as your hormone levels change to support your growing baby. You also may have to adjust your daily routine to manage your fatigue or nausea.
Second Trimester
By the second trimester, you may start to feel better, and your body will start changing to accommodate the space your growing baby needs. This trimester also brings some exciting milestones–you will be able to feel your baby move, have your mid-pregnancy ultrasound, and find out if you are having a boy or a girl.
Third Trimester
In the third trimester, you’ll be busy preparing for your baby’s arrival and deciding on your birth plan. You can visit our birthing centers to learn more about your birthing options. You also may want to attend a childbirth education class to find out what to expect during and after childbirth. We also offer a class if you have other children to help them prepare for their sibling.
Postpartum Care
Often called the fourth trimester, postpartum recovery takes into account that like your baby, you’re adjusting to a lot of new experiences. You’ll undergo a lot of physical and emotional changes during this busy time.
