Why TCH? I was actually born at TCH, so I grew up hearing great things about the health network from family members. Through the interview process, I had wonderful interactions with the ambulatory care preceptors, and I could tell they were passionate about providing the best care to patients. I was also impressed with the depth and breadth of the learning experiences offered in the ambulatory care pharmacy space. So far, this program has offered me countless learning opportunities in a challenging but supportive environment.

Advice for PGY1 residents interested in pursuing a PGY2: Try to gain as much experience as you can in practice areas you are uncomfortable with. I have found that this allows you to learn so much more than staying in your comfort zone. Don't be afraid to ask your preceptors for advice and feedback on how to manage difficult clinical situations. This will help you become more well-rounded as a pharmacist and as a learner (and you can bring these stories to your interviews).
