Additional Information About Estimated Patient Pricing and Cost
In an effort to be fully transparent about our pricing, the following resources are available for your use:
Shoppable Services List
Our MyChart Price Estimator Tool provides individualized estimates for 300 services, such as imaging, laboratory tests and certain medical and surgical services. In addition to our MyChart Price Estimator Tool, we provide a list that specifies the discounted cash price (for a patient who pays with cash or a cash equivalent), as well as the minimum and maximum charge that The Christ Hospital Health Network has negotiated with third-party payors for these 300 services.
For an estimate of the actual pricing and cost for a service offered by The Christ Hospital Health Network based on your individual situation, we encourage you to utilize our MyChart Price Estimator Tool or contact our financial counselors by phone at 513-585-4050, option 1, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by email at
An estimate provided by our financial counselors or one provided through our MyChart Price Estimator Tool is just an estimate – actual costs of care may vary. Final billed charges may vary from an estimate for many reasons including, but not limited to the patient's medical condition; unknown circumstances, complications, or findings; final diagnosis, and recommended treatment, devices, supplies, and/or services ordered by a provider. An estimate does not guarantee coverage by any particular insurer or medical plan.
Additionally, services provided by physicians and other providers not employed by The Christ Hospital Health Network may be billed separately and are not included in any estimate provided. These services may include anesthesia, pathology, newborn pediatric care and interpreting imaging services, if applicable.

Items and Services List
Our Items and Services List is a machine-readable list of all hospital services and our negotiated rates with third-party payors for each service. This file lists the hospital standard (gross) charge, discounted cash price (for patients who pay with cash or a cash equivalent), and the minimum and maximum charge that The Christ Hospital Health Network has negotiated with third-party payors. Additionally, this file contains payor-specific negotiated charge amounts as required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The charges listed may not reflect your individual costs depending on your insurance coverage or any discounts that may apply.
It is important to note that contracts negotiated between hospitals and payors use many different, and frequently unique, reimbursement methodologies. Hospital reimbursements for clinical services, i.e., charges, may be conditionally paid based on other services provided, or bundled into the payment for other services. Reimbursements also may vary due to other negotiated, complex criteria specific to particular payor contracts. Consequently, using the Items and Services List to compare contracted payment rates for specific line items across payors may or may not accurately reflect total contracted reimbursement rates.
