Outpatient Physical & Occupational Therapy Centers

At The Christ Hospital Health Network Physical and Occupational Therapy Centers, we provide exceptional rehabilitation services when and where you need it. Whether your goal is to relieve pain, restore mobility, increase strength or improve function, we’ll exceed your expectations for what therapy can accomplish. We work closely with you, family members and your doctor to provide the care you need.

Our highly trained physical and occupational therapists specialize in many areas of rehabilitation therapy. Physical therapists help patients build and regain skills that are essential for independent living. Occupational therapists address psychological, social and environmental factors that help individuals with basic functions and activities for everyday life.

Before designing a comprehensive treatment program, we conduct a thorough evaluation to assess your condition accurately. Once this is completed, your therapist works with you to develop a treatment plan and set individual goals. We use the latest equipment, a wide range of therapeutic exercises and a variety of treatment techniques.

Our services

Our specialty care programs provide a full range of outpatient services, including:

Aquatic therapy

Water supports the body and reduces stress on the joints so patients can strengthen muscles. We use this type of therapy to treat many conditions such as arthritis, multiple sclerosis, stroke and Parkinson's disease. Aquatic therapy helps patients improve their movement, strength and function early in the therapeutic process.

Lymphedema therapy

Lymphedema is a collection of fluid that causes swelling (edema) in the arms and legs. Normally, lymph nodes filter fluid as it flows through them, trapping bacteria, viruses and other foreign substances, which are then destroyed by special while blood cells. Without normal lymph drainage, fluid can build up in the affected arm or leg, and lymphedema can develop. We are proud to offer lymphedema therapy provided by certified lymphedema therapists with extensive clinical experience.

Pilates allows patients to move earlier in their rehabilitation process and to recovery more quickly. It helps prevent many orthopedic injuries caused by overuse or poor movement patterns, which cause pain. Pilates is a neuromuscular exercise, which means it reeducates your body’s movement patterns to strengthening the brain to muscle connection.
