Advanced Practice Provider - CVICU 

Shift: Full-Time, Day/Night rotation, Weekends and Holiday rotation

Location: This position will be located in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at The Christ Hospital Health Network (TCHHN) main campus, 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.

Unit Description: The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is a high acuity16-bed unit. Patient population includes: Cardiogenic shock, Acute MI, Acute CHF, Ventricular Assist Devices, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, post Open Heart surgery, and post PCI. High number of ECMO, Impella, and IABP management. 

Job Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be an APRN that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. May provides general medical and/or surgical care and treatment to patients in a medical setting (office, telemedicine, hospital, Urgent Care, LTC, or Clinic) in collaboration with physician(s) for APRNs where dictated. If the APP will be practicing in the hospital setting, the delineation of privileges will also dictate the scope of practice.

Education: Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

License/Certification: 

  • DEA license

  • BLS and ACLS certified

Certified Nurse Practitioner: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state board.

OR 

Physician Assistant: Graduate from accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree Physician Assistant Certification (verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant – NCCPA. Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio or applicable state medical board. Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio.

Experience: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: 3 years minimum experience as a Registered Nurse preferred. At least one-year experience as an APRN preferred.

Physician Assistant: 2 years cardiology experience preferred. 


Advanced Practice Provider -  CVICU

Advanced Practice Provider - Long Term Care (PRN) 

Shift: PRN, Day/Night rotation, Weekends and Holiday rotation

Location: remote off site – on call via phone only

Unit Description- covering call for (insert number) Long term care facilities .

Job Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be an APRN that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. May provide general medical care and treatment to patients via phone and collaboration with physician(s) for APRNs where dictated.

Education: Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

License/Certification:

  • DEA license

  • BLS 

Certified Nurse Practitioner: Family / Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state board

OR

Physician Assistant: Graduate from accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree Physician Assistant Certification (verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant – NCCPA. Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio or applicable state medical board. Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio.

Advanced Practice Provider - Orthopedic

Shift:  Monday- Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Location/Unit Description: JSC/TCH Main Campus-  2139 Auburn Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45219

Education: Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

License/Certification:

·         DEA license

·         BLS and ACLS certified

Certified Nurse Practitioner: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state board

OR

Physician Assistant: Graduate from accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree Physician Assistant Certification (verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant – NCCPA. Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio or applicable state medical board. Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio.

Experience: Looking for an advanced practice provider with general orthopedic and spine experience, minimum 2 years.  Candidate will be responsible for managing patients through a walk in clinic, rounding on total joint patients, and managing some after hours call.  Candidate should have a well-rounded exposure to orthopedic and spine care and be a team player.


Advanced Practice Provider - Structural Heart

Shift:  Full-Time, Day shift

Location:  This position will be located in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at The Christ Hospital Health Network (TCHHN) main campus, 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.

Position Description:  This APP will serve on the IP Structural Heart Service, but may require some OP work, at times.  Patient population includes:  TAVR, Mitral Clip, ASD/PFO, Watchman.

May provide general medical and/or surgical care and treatment to patients in a medical setting (office, telemedicine, hospital, Urgent Care, LTC, or Clinic) in collaboration with physician(s) for APP's where dictated. If the APP will be practicing in the hospital setting, the delineation of privileges will also dictate the scope of practice.

Education:  Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

License/Certification:

  • DEA license

  • BLS and ACLS certified

Physician Assistant: 2 years cardiology experience preferred.


Advanced Practice Provider - Urgent Care (NP or PA)

Shift: Full Time 
 
This position will be located in our Green Twp Urgent Care office.

May provides general medical and/or surgical care and treatment to patients in a medical setting (office, telemedicine, Urgent Care) in collaboration with physician(s) for where dictated. 

Education:  Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with a Master’s Degree.

License & Certification:

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

  • Physician Assistant Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

  • Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or Ohio Board of Medicine ( or applicable state board)

  • DEA license

  • BLS Certified

  • Membership in professional organizations are desirable

Experience:  At least one (1) year experience as an APRN or PA preferred.
