CINCINNATI (October 21, 2025) – The Christ Hospital Health Network and The Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences today announced two $1 million gifts totaling $2 million to expand scholarships and prepare the next generation of nurses.
Ellen and William Camm, MD, have made an estate commitment currently valued at $1 million to further grow the Dr. William & Ellen Camm Endowed Scholarship Fund. Dr. Camm, a long-time physician at The Christ Hospital Health Network, currently serves on the board of The Christ Hospital Foundation.
In a separate gift, Linda Callard made a $1 million contribution to expand the impact of the Dr. George M. and Linda Callard Scholarship Fund, supporting students at The Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences. The late Dr. George M. Callard, who passed away in 2022, was a physician and clinical leader at The Christ Hospital Health Network, and his family remains actively engaged with the network.
“These visionary gifts invest in the people at the heart of exceptional care—our nurses,” said Debbie Hayes, President & CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network. “As the region’s #1 hospital for the eleventh consecutive year, we’re committed to building the strongest possible nursing workforce for Greater Cincinnati.”
“Scholarships open doors for talented students who feel called to serve,” said Amy Wutke, President of The Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences. “The Camm and Callard gifts will reduce financial barriers, help students stay on track to graduation, and strengthen the pipeline of practice-ready nurses across our Network.”
“These deeply meaningful legacy commitments create lasting opportunities for students while advancing education for the next generation of caregivers,” said Steve Rosfeld, President of The Christ Hospital Foundation. “Through estate gifts or beneficiary designations, donors can make a profound difference for patients, families, and the future of nursing.”
