Heart Patients at The Christ Hospital Health Network Compete in Mini Heart Mini Marathon

The Mini Heart Mini Has Been an Annual Event for Almost 20 Years

CINCINNATI (March 13, 2026) – Heart patients at The Christ Hospital Health Network took part in their own Heart Mini Marathon on Friday. The heart patients and their caregivers were invited to join the Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit (CVSU) staff in an on-site “Mini Heart Mini” Walk with running medals and snacks to make a great race.

Patients and caregivers participated in the Mini Heart Mini Walk to celebrate their triumphs in heart disease and stroke recovery. Patients were given the option to walk a half marathon (half the floor) or a full marathon (walking the entire floor) with assistance from our team members. The event highlights the importance of exercise being good for your heart.
