CINCINNATI (May 3, 2026) – The Christ Hospital Health Network and Fifth Third Bank have reason to celebrate newborns on Fifth Third day.
All “Fifth Third Babies” born on Sunday at our Mt. Auburn and Liberty Birthing Centers will receive a limited-edition onesie as well as a $1,053 contribution toward their newborn’s 529 college savings plan.
“We are excited to be partnering with Fifth Third Bank to make a special day even more exciting for families of newborns this weekend,” said Debbie Hayes, President & CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network. “These college savings plans are an incredible gift to newborns and their families as they begin to plan for their future.”
In addition to the voucher, each family will also receive a care package with baby essentials. Labor & delivery care team members at each birthing center will also receive items from Fifth Third. Fifth Third Babies also took place this year at hospitals in Chicago, Detroit, Nashville and Orlando. Across Fifth Third’s national footprint, employees will also mark “Fifth Third Day” through volunteerism and giving activities beginning May 4 and extending throughout the month.
“Fifth Third Day - May 3 - is a day we celebrate across the nation by showing up for our communities in meaningful ways,” said Dan Feldmann, Fifth Third President (Greater Cincinnati). “Supporting Cincinnati-area families on one of the most important days of their lives is a small but powerful way we can help invest in a brighter future for the next generation.”
May 3rd is a day celebrated by Fifth Third annually with community service and giving activities across the nation. Since 2017, Fifth Third Babies has delivered $733,000 in 529 plan funding to the families of nearly 700 babies born on Fifth Third Day across eight states, in partnership with the Gift of College, Inc.
