Surgical and non-surgical management of hand and wrist conditions, including compressive neuropathies of the carpal and cubital tunnels, cysts and other masses, arthritis of the hand and wrist, trigger fingers, fractures, ligament and tendon injuries, nerve lacerations, and Dupuytren’s contractures.
Dr. Beutel graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in biological engineering from Cornell University and earned his medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases where he also completed an orthopaedic research fellowship as part of a clinician-scientist training program. Following this, Dr. Beutel completed his hand surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City under the mentorship of Dr. Charles P. Melone, Jr.
He subspecializes in hand and wrist surgery. Dr. Beutel has published over 30 scientific journal articles on orthopaedics and hand surgery, authored several book chapters, and has had his research presented at regional, national, and international conferences. He is also a candidate member of both the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) and the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS).
