David Fox, MD, is a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist practicing in Greater Cincinnati. He joined The Christ Hospital Health Network in February 2022 with more than 25 years of expertise in the care of pregnant women. Dr. Fox specializes in prenatal diagnosis, management of high-risk pregnancies, and a variety of fetal and maternal procedures designed to achieve optimal pregnancy outcomes
“I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by a deep desire to help others with kindness and empathy,” Dr. Fox says. “You are not alone in this journey. Ask questions when you do not understand something. Ask until you feel you have received the information you need.”
Dr. Fox graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Cincinnati. He earned his medical degree at The Ohio State University and completed one year of internal medicine residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus before completing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati and a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Fox is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine (SMFM). He has received multiple teaching awards, including the Ross E. Griffith, MD, Distinguished Teacher Award at Methodist Hospital of Indiana and the Jeff Bell, MD, Teacher of the Year Award at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
“Even without the awards, sharing what I have learned from others, and from my experience, gives me great joy and feeling of accomplishment,” Dr. Fox says.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Fox enjoys spending time with his loved ones, meditation, cooking, running, reading, and movies.
