Rhys Jones, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular who specializes in cardiovascular critical care. He provides inpatient care at The Christ Hospital Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in Mt. Auburn.
Rhys was influenced at a young age to pursue a career in medicine by watching his mother play the role of primary caretaker for his grandmother who was very ill. “I was always there for doctors’ appointments, and it was always inspiring to see the providers take such good care of her,” he says. “I want to have that same impact on my patients and their families.”
He is committed to treating every patient as a unique individual with their own needs, goals, and values. “My approach is to provide truly personalized care by ensuring that patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions” he says. “I want them to know that they are the most important part of the care team.”
Rhys earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology of Exercise from Ohio University, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Mount St. Joseph University. He is certified by the National Board on Certification of Physician Assistants, and he is a member of the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Associates.
In his free time, Rhys enjoys spending time with his family, including his cat and dog. He and his partner, Gwen, enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling to different states and countries, and enjoying all of the different foods that Cincinnati has to offer.
