Joseph Piaskowski, AG-ACNP, is a board-certified adult gerontology (AG) acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) with The Christ Hospital Physicians-Heart & Vascular who specializes in clinical cardiology and heart failure. He provides care to inpatients at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn.
Joseph knew in childhood that he wanted a career that would let him serve and care for others. The father of a close friend showed him he could reach that goal as a nurse practitioner (NP). He thought being an NP was an interesting, challenging career that offered the opportunity to improve the health and well-being of countless patients.
In every patient interaction, he works to deliver the highest level of care. “I strive to give every patient I encounter the best care I possibly can because that is what they should expect of me,” he says. “And, whenever possible, I try to incorporate their family and friends.”
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Xavier University and his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati AG-ACNP program. He also completed the Army Critical Care and Emergency Nursing courses.
Joseph is certified by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, American Nurses Association and the Ohio Nurses Association.
In his free time, Joseph enjoys Xavier University sports, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, outdoor hobbies and traveling with his wife.
