Abigail Holbrook, DO is a board-certified physician with The Christ Hospital Physicians who specializes in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She provides care for women at the Eastgate and Southgate locations.
Dr. Holbrook was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by watching her mother battle breast cancer at an early age. “I wanted to help families like so many wonderful healthcare providers had helped mine.”
She approaches care as a partnership with her patients, which begins with active listening so she can better understand their healthcare goals so they can work together to achieve them. She encourages her patients to take ownership of their care journey and to listen to what their bodies are telling them. “I want them to understand that if a certain treatment plan isn’t working for them, we can always regroup and try something different without judgement,” she says.
Dr. Holbrook earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology with a focus on Gender Studies from Centre College and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at OhioHealth O’Bleness Memorial Hospital where she served as a Chief Resident.
She is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, and the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists.
In her free time, Dr. Holbrook enjoys live music, exploring the Cincinnati food scene, traveling, and spending time with her two boys, Austin and Aiden.
