Julie Turner, APRN, NP-C, is a nurse practitioner with The Christ Hospital Physicians-Heart & Vascular who specializes in electrophysiology. She is board certified as a both a family nurse practitioner and as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner and she provides inpatient care for patients at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn.
As a youth, Julie cared for her grandmother and learned how meaningful compassionate care can be. That experience — and her mother’s encouragement — sparked her interest in nursing. She blends that same kindness with evidence-based medicine to care for patients.
“I treat every patient as if they were a family member,” she says. “I believe that leading with empathy and heart allows me to provide thoughtful, high-quality care.”
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. She holds a post-master’s certificate from the University of Kentucky, and she is in the final stages of completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice, also at the University of Kentucky, with an expected completion date of May, 2026.
In recognition of her giving nature, Julie has been nominated multiple times by her colleagues for UK Healthcare APP of the Month and the Trusted Healer Award. She is certified by and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the Kentucky Association of Nurse Practitioners & Nurse-Midwives.
In her free time, Julie enjoys watching sports (especially the Bengals), traveling, and spending time with her family and dog.
