Hannah Kidwell, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant with The Christ Hospital Physicians – Heart & Vascular who specializes in care for patients with structural heart disease. She provides inpatient and outpatient care for patients at The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn and at the Medical Office building on the hospital’s campus.
She was drawn to a career in medicine by the intersection of science and human connection. “I’m fascinated by the complexity of the body,” she says. “But what truly motivates me is walking alongside patients during vulnerable moments and helping them navigate uncertainty with clarity and compassion.” She adds that cardiology captured her interest because of the blend of physiology and innovation and because of the profound impact that timely intervention can have on a person’s quality of life.
Hannah’s approach to care is founded on thoughtful clinical reasoning, collaboration, and clear communication. She values working closely with every member of the heart care team to ensure patients receive comprehensive, well-coordinated care. The patient and their family, however, are the center of that care. “I prioritize transparent communication with them and translating complex information into language they can understand so they feel informed and empowered in decision-making,” she says.
She encourages her patients to be active participants in their care. “Ask questions, understand your condition, and don’t hesitate to speak up about concerns,” she says. “When you are informed and empowered, your care becomes a partnership rather than something that happens to you. That is important toward improving your outcomes.”
Hannah earned a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology with a minor in organic chemistry from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College. She is certified by the National Board on Certification of Physician Assistants.
In their free time, Hannah and her husband enjoy hiking, throwing frisbee, playing pickleball, and enjoying the guilty pleasure of eating at Skyline. They also enjoy spending time with their dogs Chloe and Stark.
