Dr Forman sounds very knowledgeable in his field. He gave me a lot of information, options to choose from and the whys of each. For me, I felt dismissed that I know my body and what has not worked in the past. I have learned that I do not fit into the boxes that others do fit into. This gives me challenges in finding answers and solutions that work for me. Dr Forman talked around this and quoted me the box data and expected me to fit in those boxes. Near the end of the appointment, he could tell I wasn't leaning the direction he was recommending and shifted to stating it is my choice. I do appreciate his shift in direction. This gives me space to consider all the data he gave me and make a choice of what I feel is right for me. [...]

First time I experienced explanation of my issues and concerns.

This doctor listens and explains the latest in good health and makes the patient know he cares for the patient. It was enough to have me bring the stationary bike up from the basement so I could exercise.

Dr. Forman is especially good about providing information regarding preventive practices that will further wellness and improve the particular heart health issues that I have - A-Fib and hypertension. And generally he offers some helpful insights regarding healthy practices. He also has been very kind about answering questions that have arisen between appointments. Although I hadn't seen him in a year, he carefully reviewed my history and recalled a concern that appeared on a diagnostic that will be followed up on next year. He has helped me with some other health concerns; at one point my glucose readings were running a little borderline - risking Type II diabetes. I generally eat very healthily so it was concerning and maybe a little confusing why that was happening. He suggested that I stop drinking fruit juices and eat whole fruits only. I stopped fruit juice and switched solely to whole fruits, and my blood sugar levels returned to the normal range in subsequent testing. [...] I think the dietary advice really helped resolve that problem. During this appointment Dr. Forman discussed/recommended my using a home device - such as the [...] that can read EKGs and detect A-fib in the home setting with the use of one's phone. He shared with me the usefulness and also limitations of the device since it apparently merely detects abnormal rhythms but can't distinguish the type of arrhythmia, and labels everything A-Fib. However, the readings can be sent to the office. [...] I feel more interested based upon his recommendation.
