About John J. Larkin, MD

Dr. John J. Larkin graduated Magma Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He did his general and orthopaedic surgery training at Yale University, where he was also a clinical instructor. He did a year of fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He then taught at the University of Chicago for four years, where he also practiced orthopaedic surgery. He returned to Cincinnati in 1991.



Dr. Larkin is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who has treated occupational and sports-related injuries for over fifteen years. He lectures regularly on many orthopaedic topics.

Dr. Larkin is a past chairman of the Ohio Governor's Advisory Board for Workers' Compensation. He sits on the legislative committees of both the Ohio State Medical Society and the Northern Kentucky Medical Society. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is past president of the Academy of Medicine of Greater Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Orthopaedic Society.
