Dr. Moore received his undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego (BS 1994). Following his undergraduate studies he was awarded an Armed Forces Health Profession Scholarship and commissioned as a medical officer in the United States Navy. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine (MD 1999). Dr. Moore completed a general surgery internship at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland in 2000. After further training at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute, Pensacola, Florida, he was designated a Naval Flight Surgeon and attached to a Marine helicopter combat aviation squadron, deploying worldwide. Released from active duty naval service in 2004, he trained in diagnostic radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completing residency in 2008, followed by a neuroradiology fellowship in 2009.

Dr. Moore is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of American Society of Neuroradiology, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, and the Ohio State Medical Association. Dr. Moore has been on staff at The Christ Hospital since 2009, and is licensed to practice medicine in Ohio and Kentucky.
