Dr. Shreenivas is an interventional cardiologist with expertise in structural heart disease.
Dr. Shreenivas received his medical degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed training in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology at The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He was recruited from Philadelphia to join the University of Cincinnati to start their structural heart program. Prior to joining The Christ Hospital, Dr. Shreenivas was the Director of the Structural Heart Program and the Section Head of The Catheterization Lab at The University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Shreenivas has lectured nationally and internationally and has written many peer-reviewed publications. His research interests are in structural heart disease and acute heart failure treatment options and he has been a contributing PI for several large clinical trials. He continues to look for opportunities to innovate, as he believes this is key to improving medical care for his patients.
Dr. Shreenivas and his wife met while training at University of Pennsylvania. She is an a pulmonary and critical care physician on faculty at the University of Cincinnati. She also has a basic science lab at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center where she does stem cell research in cystic fibrosis and ARDS.
When he isn't working, Dr. Shreenivas loves spending time with his three (crazy) dogs.
