Dr. Nunlist-Young is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Brown University in Providence, RI, and his medical degree from the University of Rochester. Dr. Nunlist-Young completed his internship at University of Cincinnati/University Hospital, and his residency at San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center where he was chief resident.
Following his residency, Dr. Nunlist-Young worked as the assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Associate Director of Residency Training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Department of Family Medicine.
He has held the medical director position at Marjorie P Lee Nursing Home since 1980. In 2005, he was named in Cincinnati's Top Doctors by Cincinnati Magazine.
Dr. Nunlist-Young is a former chairman of the board of MEDICA, current member of American Academy of Family Physicians, and a volunteer teacher with UC Primary Care Clerkship.
