Updated Visitor Restrictions as of Tuesday, May 26, 2020

During these unprecedented times, The Christ Hospital requests patients to adhere to the following visitation guidelines for their safety, the safety of their loved one and the safety of all our physicians and staff.

• Patients may have one (1) visitor per day during the hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Visitors may stay as little or as long as they like during those hours but if they leave the hospital during those hours they will not be permitted to return.

• Each patient will need to designate a visitor for the day (cannot be multiple different visitors in the same day but can be a different visitor each day).

• Visitors must be older than 16 years of age.

• If visitors are older than 65 years of age, we encourage them to review CDC and ODH guidelines for individuals with advanced age and chronic medical conditions and avoid visiting hospitals if these apply.

• A guest meal may be purchased by calling the Room Service call center at 5-2100. Guest meals are $5 for breakfast and $10 for lunch or dinner. We are only able to accept cash for payment, unfortunately we are not able to accept credit cards.

While visitors are here in the hospital, they must agree to the following, no exceptions:

1. Be screened at visitor entrances and pass the screening criteria.

2. Wear an approved visitor badge that is always visible.

3. Wear the medical surgical mask that we provide, or they may wear a mask that they brought with them.

4. At all times while visitors are in the facility, their mask must cover their nose and mouth, even when they are in the patient’s room.

5. Report to the nurse’s station prior to entering the patient’s room to ensure the patient is ready for them and to ensure that they are the visitor designated by the patient.

6. Wash their hands (or use hand sanitizer) prior to entering the patient’s room and when leaving.

7. Remain in the patient’s room the entire time that they are visiting.

8. Always stay at least six feet away from the patient (social distance).

9. Check out at the nurse’s station when they are ready to leave.

Visitors who do not follow these guidelines will be asked to leave the facility.
