Have you noticed a small bulge or discomfort that doesn’t feel quite right? That little bulge might be trying to tell you something important. Kenneth Farber, DO, family medicine provider and Jonathan Schilling, MD, surgeon at The Christ Hospital Health Network will host the webinar to talk all things hernia including:
•How to recognize early signs and symptoms of hernias
•What causes hernias and who is at risk
•When to seek medical care and treatment options available
•Tips for prevention and maintaining your health
Common symptoms of hernias can include a visible bulge or lump in the abdomen or groin, pain discomfort or pressure at the bulge site, burning/aching feeling at the affected area and nausea or difficulty with bowel movements. The Christ Hospital provides minimally invasive inguinal hernia repair that leads to 2.8 days for average length of stay compared to 4.8 days for traditional inguinal hernia repair.
