Dr. England earned his bachelor degree in biological sciences from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Between his residency and fellowship, he spent two years working as a hospitalist at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.

His areas of interest include antibiotic stewardship and infection prevention. Dr. England is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
