Dr. Long grew up in Cincinnati and completed his undergraduate studies at Miami University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and a minor in molecular biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and began his internal medicine internship at the Christ Hospital. Dr. Long completed his radiation oncology residency at Indiana University, serving as chief resident in his final year. He is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology and has a special interest in reducing normal tissue toxicities with treatment.
Dr. Long holds several professional memberships such as the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
When not treating patients, he enjoys golfing, biking, hiking, cooking, and spending time with his wife and their dog, Peyton.
