Dr. Crafton is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He has extensive experience in gastrointestinal and cancer surgery and has been at the forefront of laparoscopic surgery from its inception, having taught and lectured in the United States and Europe.
His wife Susan is a nurse at the The Christ Hospital Cancer Center and his son and daughter are also pursuing careers in medicine.
