Dr. Kanagarajan earned his medical degree from the Madurai Medical College, Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in India. He completed his internship at the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai, India and his residency in internal medicine at the Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He also completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary disease at the Coney Island Hospital.
Dr. Kanagarajan is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in critical care medicine, internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and sleep medicine. His areas of special interest are: sleep medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care.
He serves as the medical director for sleep labs at The Christ Hospital and the Adams County Regional Medical Center. Dr. Kanagarajan is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Association of Sleep Medicine and he is well-published in his field.
