Dr. Leming is one of the nation's experts in malignant melanoma. He is the founding member of the Society for Melanoma Research and the local founder of Melanoma Know More, the largest regional melanoma family and patient organization. He is integrated nationally and internationally in the research efforts of melanoma and maintains a large research effort to bring new treatments and hope to those with melanoma. He has been involved in all major developments surrounding melanoma in the last 20 years. In fact, much of his early research efforts at The Christ Hospital have become standards of care and he continues to lead in his efforts to find a cure. His philosophy of "curable until proven otherwise" brings hope to those he cares for.

Dr. Leming's hobbies include practicing martial arts (Wo style Tai Chi), spending time with his family and playing piano. Dr. Leming and hematology and oncology partner, Robert Cody, MD, founded the Arches Boogie Piano Stage in 1992.
