Dr. Schmitt specializes in pulmonary medicine, interventional pulmonology and critical care, with special interest in asthma, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and ARDS.
Dr. Schmitt received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at The Christ Hospital, and his fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care at Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Schmitt is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and was named in Cincinnati Magazine as one of Cincinnati's top pulmonologists.
When he is not practicing, Dr. Schmitt enjoys spending time with his family. He also loves reading twentieth century history and is an avid runner. He is a sports enthusiast particularly for basketball, football, and baseball and coaches youth football.
