Trace Curry, MD, a Cincinnati native, is board-certified general surgeon who specializes in minimally-invasive weight loss surgery. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN, and returned to Cincinnati to complete his surgical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital, serving as chief resident. Dr. Curry currently serves as medical director for various locations through Greater Cincinnati focusing on surgical weight loss, including The Christ Hospital.

To date, Dr. Curry has performed more than 4,000 laparoscopic gastric bands, 1,000 laparoscopic bypasses and 700 sleeve gastrectomies, making him one of the most experienced weight loss surgeons in the country. He has also completed more gastric band surgeries than any other bariatric surgeon in Ohio. Dr. Curry's practice has been certified as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.

Dr. Curry is a Lap Band patient himself. "Being a patient gives me a unique perspective about the journey my patients are taking," says Dr. Curry. "I make myself accessible to our patients at all times to ensure they receive proper advice and guidance from someone who knows what they are going through both personally and professionally."
