Preconception care focuses on what you should do before and between your pregnancies that may increase your chances of having a healthy baby.

  • Manage your weight

  • Take pregnancy supplements with folic acid

  • Track your ovulation

  • Visit your doctor

Visiting your doctor

Before becoming pregnant, It’s important to make a preconception planning appointment with your obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN) to discuss your: 

  • Current health conditions

  • Current lifestyle

  • Current medications and vitamin supplements

  • Family history of medical conditions

  • Past pregnancies

  • Vaccination record
