The Christ Hospital Health Network Announces Direct to Employer Health Plan

The Plan Offers a Low-Cost Marketplace for Employers

CINCINNATI (February 3 2022) – The Christ Hospital Health Network announced a new health plan option for employers and their employees in the greater Cincinnati area. The Christ Hospital Optimal Health plan provides employees access to comprehensive medical care while improving healthcare costs for employers.

The Christ Hospital Optimal Health solution is the result of a collaborative effort by some of the nation’s most innovative, well-respected healthcare organizations such as The Christ Hospital and Population Health Management programs through American Health Data Institute (AHDI). Together we have created an integrated approach that allows employers to control healthcare costs from every angle. As a result of preferred community-based pricing, we expect the new plan option to provide a significant cost savings and value to all clients and consumers.

“With the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen just how essential it is to have a healthy workforce and community,” said Tim Cappel, executive director of corporate health solutions at The Christ Hospital Health Network. “This plan looks to bolster affordable healthcare for not just employers but employees increasing their quality care, cutting costs and leading a healthier lifestyle because of it.”

Collaborating with Key Benefit Administrators (KBA) and the American Health Data Institute, The Christ Hospital Optimal Health plan will provide a patented and proven population health management system with the strength of the highest quality network through The Christ Hospital Health Network and includes a comprehensive Ohio-based network and a national provider network wrap of preferred providers. As a result of preferred community-based pricing, we expect the new plan option to provide a significant cost savings and value to all clients and consumers.

The Christ Hospital Optimal Health partnership with AHDI will reduce costs for employers, promote best practices through evidence-based care, improve employee health and well-being and share analytics to address budget, cost drivers and focused intervention for better outcomes.

“It’s time for employers and employees to directly connect with healthcare providers in their community on a level never before attained,” said Larry Dust, CEO of KBA and AHDI. “These strategies embedded into the Optimal Health Plan are creative, patented and proven to lower healthcare costs for employers while improving the health of employees. All of us at Key Benefit and the American Health Data Institute are very excited about our collaboration with the Christ Hospital Optimal Health Plan.”
