Dr. Peiris earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his anesthesiology residency and a cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Peiris joined AAC in 2009. Since becoming a member of AAC Dr. Peiris has become very involved and active in new cardiac procedures being performed at The Christ Hospital. He is the co-director of cardiothoracic anesthesia for the department.

Dr. Peiris is board certified in Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) and board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is an active member of the national, state and local societies of anesthesiologists.
