More than 30,000 people suffer from inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the Greater Cincinnati area, and that number is growing. The Christ Hospital - and specifically our gastroenterology specialists - have been recognized for years as one of the Top 50 in the United States​ by U.S.News & World Report.                                                                    

Continuing to lead medical progress and inno​vation in Greater Cincinnati, The Christ Hospital established the IBD Program for the treatment of IBD, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The IBD Program​ is the only one like it in the region, offering an extensive range of state-of-the-art IBD resources in medicine, surgery, wellness, nutrition, psychology and more.​

Patients suffering from IBD face numerous health challenges and, as a result, require a complete team approach to address the specific needs of each individual patient.                                                                     

We have assembled a multidisciplinary team composed of gastroenterology, endoscopy, surgery, nutrition, enterostomal therapy, radiology, pathology, dermatology, rheumatology, ophthalmology, oncology, psychology, obstetrics, smoking cessation, patient educators and clinical research experts who work closely with our patients’ primary care physicians to provide the highest quality care in the area.

​​​​Amy Riedmiller, MPAS, PA-C

Amy earned her Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor of Physician Assistant Studies from the Kettering College of Medical Arts, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Riedmiller also received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.    

Riedmiller, who is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, joined the Christ Hospital Health Network in 2007 as a Gastroenterology Physician Assistant.    

Kristen Stevens, PA-C​

Kristen received her Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University, where she graduated Cum Laude. She then continued her education at Nova Southeastern University where she received her Master of Medical Science degree.     

Stevens joined the Christ Hospital in 2015 as a Gastrointestinal Physician Assistant. She is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Ohio Physician Assistants Association.​
